Nomes's brag-a-long!: Needlecase Workshop: Today, Naomi and Polly went to the Lake Bonney Quilters group, and did a workshop using my Needle-Case tutorial.

Hawaiian Day Shirt

The preschool years have  QUICKLY come to a screeching end.  Sigh.  Where did the years go?  Friday was a hard day.  After two years of preschool (for 3 & 4 years olds) my daughter has officially graduated and will be heading off to Kindergarten in three months.  I didn't cry, but I thought about it.  On the last day of school the preschoolers have a private party; meaning no parents.  Last year they had Pajama Day and this year was Hawaiian Day.
I decided to cut up some of Kaitlyn's old long sleeve shirts, much to her displeasure, and sew a lei onto a tank.

Although she was upset the to small and stained shirts were cut into flowers, she loved the shirt.

Here she is right before going into the school.

Kindergarten here we come!

EDIT: I bought the grass skirt at Party City however if I would have checked them out sooner I would have made my own.  It's literally green raffia sewn with two straight stitches to a 1" elastic ban.  So if you want to make your own it would be easy.

I finaly have had the enrgy after being sick for a few weeks to finish the third wreath in the series for my boss. This is from the pattern Spring Tulip Wreath from crafting with Lillie Mae, I also added a butterfly froma pattern from Blue Moon Internation. Brenda if you still look on here hope you like it !!!!

I am sorry I have been away. I have been having trouble with my old car accident injuries. I have recently begun to have pain in my shoulders and down my arms into my hands. The PT Doctor seems to think I have some entrapped nerves that run down my arm. It starts at my neck and runs the entire length of my arm into my hands. Most days I don't feel up to much. I just wanted my readers to know where I have been.

I am a bit late..

Hello everyone.. I am still running behind but I thought I would show you my Christmas Stocking that I made for my Annual Christmas Swap... I had a great time making this little guy. I used variegated, and silver threads on it. I have to admit.. I made a mistake on it.. I discovered the mistake when I edited the photos. I didn't even notice until it was already in the mail. Do you see the mistake??

OH well makes it all the more one of a kind :O) 

I hope my partner loved hers.. I was very excited when I received my exchange from her :O)
 I will modify this post soon to show all of you her lovely stocking!

I also made a fun craft apron for my daughter out of used jeans.... The center pocket has a zinger to attach your scissors and the pocket is to keep them tucked out of the way when not in use ;O)
